VLV Electrical Ltd – Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by VLV Electrical Ltd, whether for domestic, commercial, or industrial projects. They form part of every agreement made between the company and its clients. By accepting a quotation, booking work, or engaging our services in any form, the client agrees to be bound by the following terms.

1. General Terms of Service

1.1 All work is undertaken in accordance with current UK regulations including BS7671 Wiring Regulations, Part P of the Building Regulations, and any other relevant standards.

1.2 Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are based on the scope of work and details provided at the time of quotation.

1.3 VLV Electrical Ltd reserves the right to revise quotations where additional work is required, access is restricted, or site conditions differ from those described.

1.4 All work is subject to availability of labour, materials, and weather conditions.

2. Call-Out Fees

2.1 A call-out fee is applicable to all appointments, unless waived in writing.

2.2 The fee includes travel to the site and up to 60 minutes of on-site diagnosis or fault finding.

2.3 The call-out fee is chargeable whether or not any remedial work is undertaken during the visit.

3. Travel Charges

3.1 Travel is calculated from VLV Electrical Ltd’s base in Chepstow (NP16).

3.2 The first 5 miles of travel are free and are only charged in one direction.

3.3 Thereafter, a mileage charge of £0.58333 per mile (58.333p) applies only to the direction of the project.

Example: A property located 12 miles away would incur charges for 7 miles, resulting in a travel cost of £8.19.

3.4 Travel charges are included in all quotations and detailed on invoices for transparency.

4. Website Pricing Disclaimer

4.1 Prices displayed on the VLV Electrical Ltd website represent labour costs only unless otherwise stated.

4.2 These prices are calculated using average job conditions and serve as a general guide.

4.3 They do not include:

• Materials and equipment

• Travel fees (see Section 3)

• Testing, certification, or inspection charges

• Additional labour required due to site complexity or unforeseen conditions

4.4 Final costs are confirmed only after a full site assessment and are subject to change based on job-specific factors.
