EV Charger Install - Free Site Survey

Service Description

This free site survey allows VLV Electrical Ltd to assess the property and electrical installation to determine the most suitable solution for installing an electric vehicle (EV) charging point. During the visit, we will review key aspects of the installation to ensure the proposed charger installation is safe, compliant, and suitable for the property. The survey typically includes: • Inspection of the existing consumer unit and electrical supply • Assessment of earthing arrangement (PME / TT) • Evaluation of available capacity within the electrical installation • Identification of the best location for the EV charger • Review of cable routes and installation methods • Confirmation of parking location and charger mounting position • Discussion of charger options and smart charging features • Assessment of eligibility for any available EV charging grants This site visit allows us to ensure the installation complies with: • BS 7671:2018 + Amendment 3:2024 • Section 722 – Electric Vehicle Charging Installations • IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation Following the survey, a detailed quotation will be provided outlining the recommended installation method, equipment, and costs.
